Fancy Burp Cloths

If you haven't noticed, paper creations are a slowing trend for me at the moment. I have become best friends with my sewing machine. It really all started when I started hand sewing designs on my cards. And since I have been to five baby showers since February, I have become obsessed with all things 'baby.'

I have another baby shower this weekend for a friend at church. In addition to my "real" gift, I thought I would attempt making some fancy burp cloths. I like these even better than the cloth diaper burp cloths. They're cute and sassy... now, baby, do your thang!

One side of the burp cloth is terrycloth. The other side is a nice cotton fabric.
Don't they look just super cute? When I make these again, I do think I am going to make them a different size. These came out as squares, but I think they should be long and skinny (perfect for throwing over your shoulder).

Baby Gift Tag

I found a cute pattern for a onesie baby card. Instead of using it as a card, I made it a little smaller, added the baby's name and will use it as a gift tag.

Personalized Burp Cloths

I have started some new craft projects. One of those being burp cloths. Someone gave us a real nice one for Grant, so I decided to copy the design. My version includes a cloth diaper and dimple dot fabric. It was super simple to make and is oh so cute!

Birthday Greetings

I haven't posted anything in quite a while, so I thought I would add some of the birthday cards I have been making lately. I love sitting down to do these, however, I don't always get a chance to do an entire card uninterrupted (I can't imagine why!).

I haven't quite figured out the best way to photograph these cards. The pictures come out a little grainy and lacking in quality. If anyone has any suggestions, I am willing to learn!

'A' is for Aimee

Personalized cards are one of my favorite little gifts. I love when the mail comes, and it is such a special treat when someone has sent you a note saying how much they miss you or telling you that they appreciate your help. It always makes me smile... which makes note cards that can be sent out for any occasion one of my favorite things.

A New Venture

Recently, I have started a small business. From the luxury of my dining room, I have been furiously creating cards... of all types. A local craft fair was my first project. While the actual sales at my craft fair were not overly impressive, I have been steadily receiving orders. So much so, that the before mentioned dining room is still a mess. If orders mean a well used dining table, then so be it!
